Honor X80 Pro Max Leaked With Massive 11,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 6 Gen 5

Date:

Honor is reportedly preparing a Pro Max variant for its X80 smartphone lineup, and if early leaks are accurate, it could be one of the most battery-heavy smartphones on the market.

According to prolific tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the specifications on Weibo, the Honor X80 Pro Max will pack a massive 11,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. This would place it among the largest battery capacities ever seen in a mainstream smartphone, far exceeding the 5,000mAh standard found in most flagship devices.

The handset is also tipped to feature a 6.8-inch flat AMOLED display with slim bezels, rounded corners, and a resolution of 2788 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, the device is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, positioning it in the upper mid-range segment despite its flagship-level battery specifications.

Beyond the headline battery figure, the Honor X80 Pro Max is rumoured to offer full water resistance, a drop-resistant design, and flagship-level biometric authentication features. These durability additions suggest Honor is targeting users who prioritise reliability alongside battery endurance.

The leak does not reveal a launch timeline for the Pro Max variant. However, the standard Honor X80 is expected to launch in China later this month, also reportedly equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC, a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, and a 10,000mAh battery.

The move towards ultra-large batteries reflects a growing trend among Chinese smartphone manufacturers, who have been leveraging advances in silicon-carbon battery technology to increase capacity without significantly increasing phone thickness. Honor, along with competitors like Xiaomi and Vivo, has been at the forefront of this shift.

No pricing or international availability details have been confirmed. The standard Honor X80 is expected first, with the Pro Max variant likely following in subsequent months.
