Xiaomi 17T Series Arrives in China With 7,000mAh Battery Boost and 5x Periscope Zoom

Date:

Xiaomi has launched its 17T series in China, bringing the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro to the domestic market with a notable upgrade for the standard model. The vanilla 17T now packs a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, matching the Pro variant and representing a 500mAh increase over the international version.

The global versions of both devices were announced last month, and the Chinese variants retain the same core specifications outside of the battery boost on the 17T and an additional 16GB RAM option on the 17T Pro.

Xiaomi 17T Specifications

The Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

The camera system includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. Charging remains at 67W despite the larger battery. The 7,000mAh battery uses silicon-carbon technology, which allows for higher energy density in a compact form factor.

Xiaomi 17T Pro Specifications

The 17T Pro is built around a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It runs on the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The Pro model features a larger main camera sensor at 1/1.31 inches and supports up to 8K video recording. Both models share the 7,000mAh battery capacity with 67W wired charging.

Pricing

The Xiaomi 17T is priced from CNY 2,999 (approximately $443 or RM1,875) for the 12GB/256GB variant, with the 12GB/512GB model costing CNY 3,499 (approximately $517 or RM2,190).

The 17T Pro starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately $591 or RM2,500) for the 12GB/256GB configuration, while the top-tier 16GB/512GB version is listed at CNY 4,799 (approximately $709 or RM3,000).

Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the upgraded 7,000mAh battery variant will reach Southeast Asian markets including Malaysia. The global versions currently available carry a 6,500mAh cell. Malaysian consumers interested in the 17T series can expect pricing to be announced through official Xiaomi Malaysia channels if the updated variant becomes available locally.
