Girls Generation Sooyoung and Actor Jung Kyung Ho Confirm Breakup After 14 Years Together

Date:

Girls Generation Sooyoung and actor Jung Kyung Ho have ended their relationship after 14 years together, their agencies confirmed on June 9.

A media report revealed that the couple recently grew apart due to their increasingly demanding schedules and decided to go their separate ways naturally.

Sooyoungs agency SARAM Entertainment responded swiftly, stating: "It is true that they have broken up. They have decided to remain good colleagues."

Jung Kyung Hos agency Management Allum also confirmed the split: "It is true that they have broken up. As it is a private matter, it is difficult to provide further details."

Jung Kyung Ho and Sooyoung were widely regarded as one of the Korean entertainment industrys most enduring couples. The pair began dating in 2012 and went public with their relationship in January 2014 after acknowledging dating rumours at the time.

Over the years, the couple became known for their low-key yet supportive partnership. Sooyoung, a member of the iconic K-pop group Girls Generation, has been active in both music and acting, while Jung Kyung Ho rose to international fame with hit dramas including Hospital Playlist and Crash Course in Romance.

The announcement of their breakup has sparked an outpouring of sentiment from fans across social media, many of whom followed their relationship as one of K-drama and K-pop s most beloved real-life love stories.

Both artists are expected to continue with their respective professional commitments. Sooyoung is currently in discussions for her next acting project, while Jung Kyung Ho recently wrapped filming on his latest drama series.
